If your domain name matches the keywords you target in a Google Adwords / Ads campaign, will you have a higher click-through rate?1 min read
Click-through rate is the measurement (in %) of how often people who see your ads are clicking on it and entering your website; hence the name Click Through Rate.
A general human behaviour is that we tend to gravitate towards things that are not only familiar, but also correlates or answer the questions we need answering.
So if a search query matches a domain, the likelihood of the person doing the search clicking on that ad is pretty high. And Google will also highlight any part of an ad that matches the search query; all of this should make your ad appealing and should hopefully lead to a click and thus, you’ll be on your way to a high click through rate; should every/most impression you receive lead to a click.
